EC155B Type Rating Course
This is a great price for instructional hours on an EC155B, the fully glass-cockpit successor to the AS365 Dauphin. This machine meets the requirements of the new offshore performance criteria to be implemented from January 2010. Please note, prices below are for the minimum numbers of hours required – if this is your first glass cockpit type, it is likely that you will require at least six to eight hours’ flight instruction before attempting the skill test.
Option 1: First Twin VFR Type Rating Course
The course lasts for seven to ten days and consist of five days ground
technical instruction and eight hours flight instruction plus test. Total Cost 18,950 Euros (£16,928*).
Option 2: Additional
Twin VFR Type Rating Course
For pilots already qualified on a twin-engined helicopter, the
course consists of five days ground technical instruction and
three hours flying plus
test. Total Cost 9,450 Euros (£8,442*).
IR(H) holders wanting an EC155 IFR type rating will need an additional two hours IFR flight training.

Any additional flight instruction required
will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
